These humble side tables are modestly crafted from Moonstone, Mother of Pearl and Polar Bear Marmoleum

Scored and snapped lengths of Linoleum have been stacked onto hand threaded beech dowels. The lengths are compressed between pine legs with threaded beech nuts that offer a unique utilitarian design feature. The snapped Linoleum edge reveal glimpses of the fraying jute backing giving these tables a surprisingly soft finish.

Dark defined edges contrast the muted yet densely packed table top.

A gentle side table for a calm and affectionate space.

This product is part of a project that disrupts our familiar associations of Linoleum as a flooring product by re-appropriating it to craft – a context that is deeply rooted in its production but rarely noted in its mass-manufactured setting. By transforming this industrialised product into something intimately social, the products celebrate Linoleum’s malleable personality.
